As I have seen the Australian government grow indifferent about the issue of climate change, I have started to reflect on which people have been driving this trend...
The election of Tony Abbott as the leader of the Opposition coupled with the massive failure of the Copenhagen negotiations means that action on climate change lost momentum. This has been also driven by some influential figures who have helped confuse the issues...

The hysteria about the supposed apocalypse about to be caused by global warming climate/change is laughable. What's even more funny is it's just another thing that will fade away when the apocalypse does not happen. But come back again when some supposed activist wants to change the world. Just like in the 70's when we were supposedly going to enter an ice age that would end us all. The climate has changed and will change until the end of time. There is nothing we can do about it, especially not go into hysterical panic and start giving billions in tax so China, India and third world countries can have the money. I don't care about those beautiful statistics, many of which have been admitted to being fudged and have never had the raw data to support them. It has even been said that since 2008the Earth has cooled. Just read some stuff about climategate. Even some of the leading scientists in climate change admitting they were fudging statistics, refusing to release data and have admitted it is not man made at all. Another thing, there is over 30,000 scientists who have signed saying they deny man made climate change. The only ones jumping up and down about it are the ones being paid by the UN or governments. The idea of the carbon tax had been dreamed up by Al Gore well before the so called horrible warming that has occured over the last decade. Al Gore also has millions invested in green energy companies, so it's no wonder he is so eager to push it. The hacked emails that showed data manipulation prove it is fake because these sources are where most of the statistics are coming from. Another thing that is laughable is how you claim total concensus, like every person with a brain believes in the hoax. The emails prove they were hiding declines in temperatures aswell. Don't be fooled by this international hoax/scam. Just google or search Youtube for climate change or global warming hoax/scam and learn something.
